Day #5: From CA to WY

March 8, 2016

I think that the only thing worse than having to leave the Disneyland gates is waking up that morning knowing that it is your last day in Disneyland. Originally, we had planned to be at Disneyland around 8am but it was such a struggle to get out of bed, packed, and eat breakfast anyways that we didn't quite get there at 8am for our Magic Morning. BUT we were there for the gate opening around 8:45am that made it a Magic Morning anyways. Any morning in Disneyland is magical.
After the gates were opened, we power walked to Space Mountain (along with the entire rest of the park) and rode it one last time. Sad but awesome. I think that we've finally started to wear Dad out which is nice because that probably means we will walk at a normal human pace.
We were going to meet up with my roomie, Abigail, at some point but every time she got off a ride, we got on one so it just didn't quite work out. Maybe next time (aka post-mission). Then we park hopped over to California Adventure and rode California Screaming two times in a row before it was time to use our Fast Passes for Soaring California.
I've been here for two and a half days and
am still trying to figure out the camera thing.
kinda got it this time
Bye California Adventure thanks for lots of loops and turns.

Then it was lunch time so we went to the Corn Dog castle which had the greatest corn dogs ever AND I got to teach an old grandpa how to take a selfie in the corn dog line so that was my good deed for the day. After lunch it was almost time to start heading back to the hotel to load up for the airport so we park hopped one last time over to ride Big Thunder Mountain for the last ride.
drinking melted Olafs (jk it's a vanilla shake)
And then it was time to leave. And deep inside I cried a little bit because we were leaving the Happiest Place on Earth and going to one of the Coldest Place on Earth and I didn't have room to pack my puffy coat or snow boots so that's going to suck. Thank you Disneyland for a super dazzling and zip a dee doo dah few days. You are the bomb.com
leaving Disneyland sucks but still wearing Minnie ears
We returned our rental Minnie van and then flew from the John Wayne airport to Salt Lake and then had connecting flights from Salt Lake into Jackson. Walking outside from the plane into the airport was a little rough though tbh because I was still wearing my Burks.
Perks of flying into Jackson are seeing the three types of people that get off the plane:
1. the ski bums
2. the fur coat people
3. the locals (which you always know all of)

When we got home, I got to go for a loop de doo in the new Subie that replaced Rosie (sad but so happy) and it was freezing outside but don't worry because the new car has seat warmers.
When you steal Mama Laura's eskimo coat because it's thirty degrees outside. Stay warm out there folks. Love, Caitie
