On the first (real) day of #dunlopsdisney we...
- ate the most delicious and fancy hotel breakfast I've ever experienced and honestly it probably wasn't that good, but I was so excited to be going to Disneyland that it tasted amazing
- walked with a mob of other families down the street to Disneyland then fought the angry stroller moms to get through the security lines and finally get through the front gates (cried tears of joy)
- rode Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters first because it's one of the best rides in the history of ever and side note: always aim for the triangles because the circles are useless points
- convinced Max that riding the Matterhorn Bobsleds was a good idea because there was a secret basketball court in the top of the mountain and you didn't get that wet when riding the ride; we got pretty wet on that one
- we rode the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad *when we were walking over there, we passed one of those doors that says "authorized staff only", and guess who walked out of it? PRINCESS ANNA. My heart literally stopped beating for a second. She is my idol. I want to be her so bad. My Disney trip was made. Oh, and Queen Elsa was there too but like...
- waited in a super long and twisty line for Pirates of the Caribbean
- climbed up through Tarzan's Treehouse and I started crying/almost peed my pants when the sabor from Tarzan growled at me when walking by
- ate chicken fingers and tons and tons of fries at the Golden Horseshoe (sitting down was amazing)
- waited in the longest line of the day for Star Tours
- skipped the 120 minute line for Space Mountain (that they are now calling Hyperspace Mountain- even though that's not really what it's called Disney) because of the Fast Passes that we snagged this morning
- rode in the Finding Nemo submarine for a cute little ocean adventure
- decided to impulse ride Splash Mountain even though it was kinda sprinkling rain outside
- the wait time for the new Winnie the Pooh ride was only supposed to be ten minutes but in reality was only about four and so we climbed on that and rode our honeypot through the Hundred Acre Woods- it was mostly for Mama Laura tbh
- churros are a necessity for every Disney trip so we stopped by a churro cart to hit that up
- thought that cramming a family of five into the tea cups in the Mad Tea Party was a good idea and thought that an even better idea was to let Dad drive- nope
- rode Buzz Lightyear again so that Dad could try and beat his score from earlier today, which he did for a grand total of like 203,000 or something insane like that
- I've never ridden the Indiana Jones ride before and there's a reason why, it's so scary! I almost fell out like six times and there were snakes and spiders everywhere. Not down for that ride ever again
- used our Fast Passes for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad again because it's one of Max's new favorite rides
- ate "dinner" at Bengal BBQ where they just give you meat on a stick- it's awesome, and you get moist towelettes that smell like lemons
- now that most of the little kids had gone back to the hotels to go to bed, a lot of the Storybook Land rides had much shorter lines so we went and rode Peter Pan's Flight which has always been one of my favorites because you get to fly around Neverland in a pirate ship
- Snow White was right next door to Peter Pan so we just hopped over and rode that- have you ever noticed that the ride just like ends?! It gets to the part where the Evil Queen gives Snow White the poisonous apple and then it's just like, "and they lived happily ever after" and you get off the ride? What the heck Disneyland.
- I've never seen Pinocchio, but the ride wait time was really short and it was right next to Snow White so were climbed right on that one too. At this point, it had started to really rain so the park was slowly emptying out of all the people what weren't raised in Wyoming and the wait times were down to the single digits
- Max wanted to ride King Arthur's Carousel so all of us hopped on some horses while Dad rode the couch. Thank you Disney for putting a man couch on your carousel, I'm sure it's heavily used
- we walked right onto the Small World ride, right onto it. That doesn't happen. Except for when it's raining and the park is only open for like fifteen more minutes
- the Mickey Mouse head pretzels are a perfect snack for your walk back to the hotel from a super duper amazing day at Disneyland, so we snagged a couple of those on our way out
