Bucket List: see Temple Square all lit up in Christmas lights.
Even though it's freezing. And there's kids everywhere. Everywhere.
And they are all suited up in their puffy coats and hats and boots so they're stumbling all over so it makes Temple Square kind of like an obstacle course of children. But it's worth it.

TBH I was pretty sad that my camera broke in the car accident a few weeks ago so I couldn't take "real" photos at Temple Square, but luckily the iPhone cameras are not that bad and random people are pretty good at taking our pictures too *cough the missionaries cough*

| I love to see the temple |
I don't know if you watched the First Presidency's Christmas Devotional (you can do it right here if you forgot, you're welcome), but something that I loved about it was how they explained that all of the lights that we see on trees and houses during the Christmas season represent Jesus Christ and how He was (and still is) the Light of the World. Jesus Christ lived on the earth just like the rest of us and He too went through trials and challenges, just like the rest of us. But He led with perfect example and because of Him, we know what we are supposed to do in our own trials and challenges. And because He went through hard times too, He knows what we are going through and because of that we are NEVER EVER EVER alone. He is always there to comfort us and this is something that has really meant a lot to me over the past few months at college because sometimes I feel like I am so alone and that no one else quite knows what I am going through. But He does. And knowing that I am never alone means the world to me.
During this Christmas season, I am especially grateful for the chance to reflect on the life of Jesus Christ and the way that He led and gave us the perfect example to follow. I know that He lives and that He loves us even when we mess up and am so grateful that we can try again and again and that He will ALWAYS forgive us and that is such an amazing blessing.
So anyways, the point of this post was to get you to go to Temple Square to see all of the lights but really, I just want you all to know that Heavenly Father loves you and that He has a plan for you and something really super amazing for you to accomplish here on Earth. And I want you to know that you are never alone and that Heavenly Father will love and forgive you even when you mess up again and again and again.
PS: We picked up Ashly from Pleasant Grove after she flew in from her cruise trip tonight and she's going to freeze her face off in Logan for the next two weeks but I'm just so glad that she's back.
Wish us luck because Dead Week starts tomorrow.
I think it's called Dead Week because you would rather be dead then have to go through it.
So that's cool.
Love, Caitie
