persephone bakery & string lake

October 10, 2015

This post is like all photos- sorry not sorry- but I feel like photos are way better for you to understand what I am up to than having to read through my random thoughts and commentary, so shoutout to Santa Claus for bringing me a camera for Christmas last year and Snapchat for it's ability to save photos on my phone. This morning (does 11am still count as morning?) we headed into town to go to Persephone Bakery because it's the greatest thing ever and they count bread pudding with chocolate syrup and powdered sugar as breakfast so heck yes.
Max's face in every photo ever.
Bread Pudding French Toast from Persephone- SO good

After brunch at Persephone, Ashly and I dragged Max into Grand Teton National Park with the paddle boards and a picnic for String Lake. The weather was seriously perfect and fall is my favorite season ever so I was a happy girl in those mountains of mine.

Once we finally found a parking spot at String Lake, we blew the paddle boards up on the sidewalk and then found the PERFECT beach spot on the lake where I set up my hammock and we had a picnic (side note: pb&j tastes way better on the lake in a hammock than it does in a dorm).
ENO hammocks are life
no we did not tip over, thanks though
I give the Teton range a thumbs up (haha I'm funny)

What was really happening in the photo above...

Eventually we had to go back into the real world to pick up Tria from DogJax before it closed (DogJax closes at 6pm and yes we did get there at 5:55pm, go Caitie). We went to Sidewinders to get burgers and fries (meat is a very rare thing for Ashly and I to eat in our dorm room so we did get way excited about this) and then came back home and watched High School Musical 2 before Hannah and my parents came home later.

Thank you Jackson Hole for still being one of my favorite places on planet Earth even though I moved away for a little bit. See you in the snow.
Love, Caitie (and now Ashly too)
